At The Mug Spot UK, customer satisfaction is our top priority. As a print-on-demand business, each mug is uniquely made to order. Below is our policy regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds, in compliance with UK and EU consumer laws.
🔧 Defective or Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or with a printing error, please notify us within 7 days of receiving your order.
To help us resolve the issue quickly, please provide:
- A clear photo showing the damage or defect
- Your order number and a brief description of the issue
Once verified, we’ll offer a replacement or full refund at no additional cost.
🔁 Incorrect Items
If you receive the wrong item, please contact us right away with:
- A photo of the item you received
- Your order number and the correct item details
We’ll ensure the correct item is sent or issue a full refund. We’ll cover return shipping if the error was on our part.
💭 Change of Mind / Standard Mugs (Non-Personalised)
In accordance with UK & EU consumer law, you may return non-personalised items within 14 days of receiving your order.
To be eligible:
- Items must be unused and in original condition
- Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility
- Refunds will be processed once we receive and inspect the item
✋ Personalised Mugs (Custom Designs)
Due to the custom nature of these products, we do not accept returns or refunds for personalised mugs unless they are defective, damaged, or incorrect.
This includes:
- Mugs printed with names, photos, or unique messages
- Any design tailored specifically for your order
Please double-check personalisation details (e.g. text, spelling, image placement) before placing your order.
💸 Refunds
- Refunds are issued for defective, damaged, incorrect, or eligible change-of-mind items
- Once approved, refunds are processed within 7 business days back to your original payment method
🚚 Shipping Costs
- Shipping is non-refundable, except in cases of defect, damage, or incorrect items
- For approved replacements, we’ll cover the shipping cost
